Greenscene Interior Plant Display Group supplies and maintains contracts with as few as three plants in an office, up to the largest of schemes involving many hundreds of tropical plants.
Greenscene has established a strong reputation for supplying any scheme small or large on time within budget, followed by a maintenance service which is second to none.
All client calls are computer recorded to ensure that no contract is ever neglected, and all sites are constantly monitored by qualified horticultural supervisors.
We are located in Kilpedder, Co. Wicklow, just off the N11 where we gather our range of products to satisfy the requirements of today’s more demanding clientele. Our nursery facility includes a computer-controlled greenhouse to ensure that plants are kept in perfect condition prior to dispatch. This facility also enables current and future customers to view the large range of office plants both live and artificial, together with planters of all shapes and sizes in up to a hundred colours to complement all interior environments.
The Irish interior plant display market has developed enormously over the past decade especially with the acknowledgement of the capacity of plants to remove harmful substances from polluted indoor air, thus reducing health complaints and absenteeism from the workplace.
Greenscene Interior Plant Display Group was established in 1980 by Richard and Naomi Stapleton. In 2016, Richard’s daughter, Georgina joined the family business full time as Business Development Director.
A Love of Gardening was on both sides of Richard’s family, he spent his school summer holidays tending to neighbours’ gardens. In 1970 when Richard left school, he got a job in a local garden centre, where he spent two years. From there, Richard went to Hilliers Nurseries in Hampshire and then to Exbury Gardens in the New Forest, where he specialized in the propagation of Ericaceous plants. His love for horticulture led to the establishment of Greenscene Interior Plant Display Group in 1980.
Georgina, following in her Dad’s (Richard) footsteps, has worked with Greenscene Interior Plant Display Group since she was a little girl. Going out to the nurseries tending to the plants and flowers. Then as she grew older, she became an official employee and became a Maintenance Technician, tending to plants in company offices, hotels etc.
So, after many years of knowing the hands-on side of the business, in 2016 she became Business Development Director, where she now deals with new and existing clients. Having had first-hand experience on the installation and maintenance side of things, she knows exactly what the client is looking for, from when they make the initial enquiry to the regular follow up calls to ensure they are happy with the Greenscene service.
Noel has been with Greenscene Interior Plant Display Group since 2000. He looks after all the operations side of things in the company; from overseeing all new Installations and making sure all contracts are being kept to the highest standard. Noel also works with Georgina on selling our services to new and existing clients.
He has developed a section in our nursery which includes a regenerated forest that has been set aside and is developing this into a biodiversity haven where wildlife and wildflowers (so called weeds) will be allowed flourish. We don’t use pesticides in this area and the resident rabbits and Goats (Salt & Pepper) will keep the grass low without the use of lawnmowers. He has also created a wildlife pond which is naturally filled by the rainwater runoff of the sheds and office, and it is already inhabited with frogs. He has installed bird boxes and hedgehog houses to encourage as much nature as possible.
Suzanne joined Greenscene Interior Plant Display Group in 2021. With 16 years’ experience in Sales and Marketing for The BrookLodge Hotel where green and organic is the ethos, it was a natural fit that she would become part of the Greenscene team!
Suzanne is the cheery voice you hear answering our phones, she keeps our social media platforms up to date, looks after Synchroteam which is a programme used to monitor all contracts and enjoys learning about and getting involved in all aspects of the company.
